Y Felin Rhyd Hir is a 17th century Water mill of historical importance, lovingly restored and converted as a luxury Holiday rental. Located on the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales near to the village of Efailnewydd a short distance from Llanbedrog and Nefyn. This unique property with working overshot waterwheel, is available for week and weekend breaks in comfortable private surroundings.  

Staying at the Mill

The Water Mill has three contemporary well-appointed bedrooms sleeping up to 6 people. Two doubles and two singles.
Large country style Kitchen and warm inviting living room with smart TV, internet, and wood burning stove. All with tantalising views of the Mill machinery.

Outside consists of balcony with seating and private Swiss style hot tub for 6 people. The Water Mill is also dog friendly.

The History of Felin Rhyd Hir

Y Felin Rhyd Hir formally Melin Bodfel on the river Afon Rhyd Hir, was the centre of village life for as long as can be remembered. The current Mill is dated the late 17th Century when the production of flour was the cornerstone of community life. The site however is believed to have been the centre of milling for Efailnewydd and Bodfel for at least the past 600 hundreds of years if not longer.
